A white Christmas

God blessed us with a white Christmas this year! A blizzard came in last night on Christmas Eve. It canceled our Christmas Eve service and pretty much shut down the town.So we built a nice warm fire and played a little Junior Scrabble. Then we ate some Korean food. Sandy can make awesome kim-chee now! This might become our Christmas Eve tradition. We managed to get the boys and girl to calm down and get to sleep although Andrew was working every angle to figure out how he could stay up all night in order to open presents sooner (according to his logic it would be sooner). Then we woke up to this! The actual snowfall amount wasn't that much. But Kansas style wind (gusts up to 50 mph) blew that snow around to make some pretty big drifts. The kids were dying to go outside even though it was -11 degrees wind chill outside. So we bundled them up. The glasses were their idea. Can you guess how long they lasted? Not too long. The minute snow got down their boots, they were crying to come back inside and play with their presents! More on that tomorrow!
