John 14:2-3

Isn't it so comforting that Jesus is preparing a place for us, not just in heaven but to be WITH him?
John 14:2-3
In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

Go Karts

If you look at the blog, it seems like most of our time is spent memorizing verses. Although I wish that were true :), we actually spend a lot of time with school, sports and church stuff too. But occasionally we find the time to have some fun.
I personally love Go Karts. But alas, they separate child drivers from adults on this track. Andrew was quite the cautious driver. It gives me hope for the future.
Matt was pretty cautious too. Maybe my car insurance premiums won't be too bad in the next few years.
Emery was TOO cautious. It was actually dangerous!
I'm glad the boys and girl had fun with their friends, and no one needed air bags!

John 15:5

I regularly pray that God would produce much fruit in the boys and girl.
John 15:5
I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

Proverbs 19:11

Should I be worried that Matt's suffering from some kind of depression?
Maybe he's just feeling great remorse for his anger issues...
Proverbs 19:11
A man’s discretion makes him slow to anger,
And it is his glory to overlook a transgression.

Proverbs 3:5-7

We added verse 7 to the mix.
Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

Isaiah 46:9-11

Thank GOD, He's in control of everything!
Isaiah 46:9-11
“Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’; 11 Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man of My purpose from a far country. Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, surely I will do it."

Andrew's baptism

I am very proud of Andrew for taking a big step in his life. He gave his testimony and was baptized on December 13, 2015.
Obviously, he was very nervous. But he did a great job proclaiming Christ as his Savior and Lord.
I love the symbolism of baptism of death and re-birth in Christ alone as one goes under the water and out again.
Praise God for Andrew's obedience to the Lord. I am excited to see how the Lord will continue to transform our young man. I must admit, I even got a little choked up.
So many young people were baptized at CBC that night. It was an awesome testimony to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Titus 3:4-6

Praise God for his kindness and love! Although Matt doesn't seem very moved by it yet.
Titus 3:4-6
But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
