Upward Season

Andrew's basketball season finished up last night. I must say that I am very, very proud of Andrew. This year's league was much more competitive than anything he's every played in. And some of the boys and adults in this league were very competitive, even rough and lacking in self-control. But despite that, Andrew was calm, played his best against older, faster and stronger competition, and had a great attitude when others were complaining and disrespecting the referees. He always seemed to have a small on his face even when he got hacked or shoved or even yelled at by other kids. Great job Andrew!
Andrew's shooting form is on display here with this shot - nice release!
He was aggressively pursuing his shot and got a bunch of free throws in this game. This is the only video I seem able to successfuly capture.
I think at this stage in Andrew's basketball game, he's a sneaky player. Somehow, he seems to be able to get open and produce points. He's not the best shooter, nor the best at dribbling. He's not a real skilled player or very fluid. But somehow, he almost always scores fairly efficiently every game, even against bigger and/or better players. In this case, he scored against the other team's tallest and best defender. He was so sneaky, I barely caught it on video!
